Is EvalU a recruiting service?

No, EvalU is not a recruiting service. Our mission is to educate prospective college basketball players about the recruiting process, evaluate their game, and elevate their skills, transforming them from lost to empowered. We do not “place” recruits at colleges, but instead, we give them the tools to earn scholarships and opportunities at the next level.

Will EvalU find you a scholarship?

No, we will not find you a scholarship, but we will provide you with all the resources you need to navigate the recruiting process and become a college-ready basketball player. We don’t want to do the work for you; we want you to earn it. While we won’t find you a scholarship, using our services will help you gain scholarship opportunities.

What makes EvalU different from competitors?

EvalU is different because of our validity and experience. Our staff has evaluated, recruited, and developed hundreds of players over the last two decades, and we have the credibility and notoriety to prove it. There’s no one in the industry offering what we offer: in-depth recruiting education, expert evaluations, and unique, affordable player development.

How much do the services cost?

Our services vary in price, but our company has a great return on investment. A bachelor’s degree can cost anywhere between $120,000 and $250,000. Our services will help you earn scholarships, potentially full-ride opportunities. The amount of money you’ll save is much greater than the cost of our services. Not to mention, becoming a successful college basketball player can also help you earn NIL opportunities, which can be life-changing money.

What payments are accepted?

All of our services can be booked through our website, and we accept all major credit/debit, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and Buy Now, Pay Later options.

Does EvalU offer refunds?

We do not offer refunds, but we do want you to be satisfied with our services. As stated, we do not guarantee scholarships or college placement. We do offer transparency and expert consultation about becoming a successful college basketball player. What ages should be using EvalU's services?

Our Get Recruited course and player evaluations are for sophomores in high school or older, while our Elevate development app is for all ages, including youth players. We can evaluate players before their sophomore year of high school, but we will not provide a projected level for those players, focusing on how they can improve and the next steps for growth. To attend our Empower camps, you must be at least 16 years old.

Does EvalU offer any discounts or promotions?

What are the customer service hours?

Our customer service team is available from 9AM to 5PM Eastern Standard Time (EST), but many times we are available nights and weekends as well. If we do not answer you directly, you can expect a response within 24 hours.

What services does EvalU offer?

We offer in-depth recruiting evaluation, credible player evaluations, one-of-a-kind skill development, and camps to embody it all, in-person.

We are not currently offering EvalU merchandise, but we do plan on developing a fully stocked online store in the future so you can represent our brand, on and off the court.

Where is EvalU located?

Our headquarters is located in Holmes Beach, Florida.

Does EvalU offer one-on-one consultations?

We do offer one-on-one consultations as part of several services. Recruits receive a video call at the end of the Get Recruited course if they choose the premium access option. Also, for each player evaluated, our staff will do a video call with the recruit, family, and coaches to go over the evaluation and our findings. Our Empower camps are a great way to receive in-person mentorship and advice.

What is the structure of the course?

For each chapter of the Get Recruited course, the recruit will need to watch the video, take notes, check out the fact sheets, complete the exercises, and take the quiz. If you sign up for the premium access, you will also be able to post questions and comments to our community and receive a 1-hour private consultation at the end of the course.

What will I learn in the course?

In our Get Recruited course, you will learn about the recruiting process, life of a college basketball player, what the ideal prospect looks like, what it feels like to get recruited, how to communicate with college coaches, a guide to different levels of college basketball, present day trends, how to take control of your recruitment, recruiting myths, and how to make your final decision. You will also learn a lot about yourself and how you can put yourself in the best possible situation to earn recruitment and gain scholarships.

How long does it take to complete the course?

Our course is 12 chapters long with roughly 10 hours of video. In addition to the videos, there are exercises to complete, quizzes to take, and fact sheets to look over. It’s very extensive, and most users complete the course in 10 to 12 weeks, depending on how much time they spend on it each day. It can take longer or shorter.

Does this course guarantee a scholarship?

No, like all of our services, we do not guarantee scholarships. Our customers receive scholarships because they earn them. Our products are to assist them and help them earn opportunities, but we do not guarantee them.

How is the course delivered?

The course is delivered online through videos. In addition, our customers will take quizzes, complete exercises, and go through fact sheets. You will be able to access the course directly through our website at www.evaluhoops/educate.

How much does the course cost?

There are two different options when purchasing the course. The basic option costs $400, but our most popular option is the premium access option, which costs $750. For more information about what each option includes, check out www.evaluhoops.com/educate

When should I take the course?

Since most levels of college basketball cannot contact recruits directly until the summer after their sophomore year, we recommend taking the course anytime during your last few years of high school. This course is great if you aren’t getting any recruitment or you’re receiving interest and want help to navigate or gain more recruitment.

How long do you have access?

If you purchase the Get Recruited course, you will receive lifetime access. In today’s landscape, players go through the recruiting process multiple times during their career, and we want to make sure you always have the resources!

Do I need a computer to complete the Get Recruited course?

No, you do not need a computer. Our course can be accessed on a cell phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer. There are many ways to complete our course, so use what works best for you!

How long does it take EvalU to complete an evaluation?

Currently, player evaluations take 2-3 weeks to complete. However, this timeline depends on how quickly the recruit, family, and coaches can respond to the evaluator’s needs. To complete evaluations, recruits must provide 3-4 full game films, as many highlight films as possible, social media handles, and contact information for themselves, family, coaches, and trainers.

How does the player evaluation work?

Once our team receives 3-4 full game films, highlight films, social media handles, and contact information for the recruit, family, coaches, and trainers, we can start evaluating. Our team of expert evaluators will communicate with everyone to get a better idea of the recruit as a person, player, and student. We will also meticulously go through the recruit’s game and social media. EvalU will take the recruit through the recruiting process as if we were a college program. What criteria do you use to evaluate players?

At EvalU, we evaluate players based on something we call the talent umbrella. Under the umbrella, there are on-court and off-court talents. The on-court talents are positional mastery, versatility, skill, eliteness, athleticism, effort, basketball IQ, love for the game, and court demeanor. The off-court talents are academics, character, and choices. These categories are consistent with what college coaches will be looking for.

Do you share the evaluation with college coaches?

We do not send the evaluation directly to college coaches, but we do provide each camper with a playbook on how to use the evaluation to leverage their recruitment. Our campers will be added to our EvalUated database on our website, which is free for college coaches to access. Also, we will post all evaluations on social media.

Does the evaluation guarantee a college scholarship?

Like all of our services, we do not guarantee a college scholarship to anyone. We do guarantee transparency. Our evaluations are designed to help you understand what level you can play at, what you need to work on, and what you can become elite at.

What information do I need to provide for an evaluation?

To be evaluated, you must provide 3-4 full game films, as many highlight films as possible, social media handles, and contact information for you, your parents, and all of your coaches and trainers. Once we have all of these things, we can conduct an evaluation.

Once I receive my evaluation, what do I do with that information?

Who should sign up?

Anyone who dreams of becoming a successful college basketball player. We can evaluate all ages of players, but you will get the most out of the evaluation if you are going into your sophomore year of high school or older. This gives us the most accurate information to gauge your projected level, along with analyzing your strengths and weaknesses.

What if I'm not happy with the evaluation?

Transparency is one of our core values. We understand that some players, family, and coaches could disagree with our opinion. Based on our staff’s experience coaching in college, we believe it is more important to be honest than to overpromise. We have a strong reputation among college programs based on our body of work. Our transparent, honest evaluations will also help you grow as a player and stay motivated.

When is the next Empower camp?

The next, and first, Empower camp will be in June 2026 in Anna Maria Island, Florida. In the coming months, we will provide exact dates with a link to register.

How many campers are at each camp?

Our camp will be limited to 32 players to ensure an individualized experience and an opportunity to provide a thorough evaluation.

Are parents allowed to attend the camp as spectators?

For those parents who would like to accompany their child to camp, we will have some sessions open to parents; however, the majority of the camp will be closed to everyone except coaches, players, and trainers. Our goal is to limit all distractions for everyone involved. In addition, all campers must stay in the designated houses. Our camp goes beyond basketball, and we are building a community.

Will campers be housed and fed at the camp?

Yes, our camp is all-inclusive. Campers will be fed three high-quality meals every day plus snacks. In addition, they will stay in very comfortable accommodations. You are at your best when you are comfortable, so we go above and beyond to ensure that!

What is the daily schedule for the camp?

Each day, campers will participate in skill development, college-level practices, games, classroom recruiting education, film sessions, and a lifestyle activity. Our lifestyle activities include things like yoga on the beach, team BBQs, fishing trips, dolphin boat tours, and anything else to keep our campers fresh and excited for the next day.

What is the coach-to-camper ratio?

Each camp will have 32 campers and 5 coaches. Therefore, our coach-to-camper ratio is around 6:1.

What safety precautions are taken?

All of our camp coaches are CPR/First Aid Certified. In addition, we have an athletic trainer available during many portions of the camp, especially during the competitive games. There will be access recovery equipment to help campers stay fresh throughout the entire camp.

What if I get injured at camp?

We take injuries very seriously at camp; however, it is also out of our control. For minor injuries, our athletic trainer will be able to provide immediate care. For severe injuries, we contact the camper’s emergency contact and will proceed accordingly. If an emergency room or urgent care visit is necessary, we will be sure to assist promptly.

What will be taught at camp?

Our camp will educate prospective basketball players about the recruiting process, evaluate their game, and elevate their skills. There will be classroom sessions about the recruiting process, time on the court focused on skill development and college preparation, and film sessions. Our coaches are current and former college coaches with untapped knowledge about how to earn scholarships and be successful at the next level.

Is the camp for all skill levels?

Our Empower camp is for anyone serious about playing college basketball. Anyone 16 or older may register, but this is not a casual camp. It’s for dedicated basketball players looking to play at the next level.

What is included with the cost of the camp?

Our camp is all-inclusive. The cost includes 7-night accommodation, all meals and snacks, Nike x EvalU gear package, official Get Recruited notebook, detailed written evaluation with graphic, personalized coaching, 1-year access to Elevate, lifetime access to our Get Recruited course, daily activities, social media posts and coverage, transportation throughout the camp, and airport pick-up and drop-off. Campers are responsible for their flights, when applicable.

How will this camp help with college recruiting?

Our Empower camp is not an exposure camp, but it can help with recruiting. While it is possible to earn scholarships from the camp, your understanding of the recruiting process, how to develop your skills, and knowing where you’re at as a player will result in you earning more recruitment.

What makes this camp unique?

Our camp is unique because there’s nothing like it available to basketball prospects. It’s an exclusive experience limited to 32 campers. We evaluate the players like no other camp, educate them on the recruiting process, and elevate their game through practices, games, and skill development sessions. Our camp coaches are hand-selected current and former collegiate coaches. There’s not another camp like this in the entire world.

Are camps open to both men and women?

Currently, we are offering camps to men’s basketball players, but we plan to launch our first women’s camp during the Summer of 2027. We love the women’s game, and it’s growing exponentially. We can’t wait to be a part of the growth, but we want to make sure to do it the right way.

How do I register for the camp?

Sign up for our email list on our website, and we will be sure to update you. In addition, follow us on all social media accounts to ensure you stay in the know.

What is your cancellation/refund policy for the camp?

At the time of registration, 100% of the money is due. Planning a destination camp is very difficult, with a lot of moving parts. Because the camp is limited to only 32 players, we do have a very strict cancellation policy. Cancellation within 9 months of the camp will result in a 75% refund. Cancellation within 6 months of the camp will result in a 50% refund. If you cancel within 3 months of the camp, we will not refund you any money due to the difficulty in filling the spot.

What should I bring to camp?

We will provide campers with workout gear and jerseys for the camp. In addition, we will handle laundering these items so they are ready for each day of camp. Campers should bring all necessary toiletries, undergarments such as socks and underwear, a swimsuit, basketball shoes, and a few sets of clothes to wear around the house and for daily activities. If someone needs any prescription medication, we ask you to bring it with you.

Does EvalU provide transportation to the camp?

Each camper is responsible for their arrival to begin the camp and departure at the end of camp. For any players flying into Tampa International Airport (TPA) or Sarasota Bradenton International Airport, our staff will be responsible for pick-up and drop-off. Once camp starts, we will provide all necessary transportation for all planned activities.

How are the player evaluations conducted at camp?

Our recruiting sessions will give an in-person synopsis of our Get Recruited course. While we won’t be able to go over everything as thoroughly as the course, our staff will cover most of it. Our campers will learn about the recruiting process, life of a college basketball player, what the ideal prospect looks like, what it feels like to get recruited, how to communicate with college coaches, a guide to different levels of college basketball, present day trends, how to take control of your recruitment, recruiting myths, and how to make your final decision. Our sessions will be a combination of lectures and exercises. Every camper receives lifetime premium access to our Get Recruited course.

Will college coaches attend the camp?

Every coach will be a current or former college basketball coach. While this isn’t an exposure camp, some local coaches may stop by for a day or two, but this is not guaranteed.
